Abstract

Nucleotides, nucleosides and their deoxy derivatives inhibited adenylate cyclase activity inMycobacterium smegmatis. Xucleosides with a triphosphate group were the most effective inhibitors. Amongst the deoxy derivatives, the cytidine derivatives were most inhibitory while deoxyadenosine and deoxyguanosine at 1 mm had no effect of the enzyme.
