Abstract

(−)-(3S)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-β-carboline-3-carboxylic acid and L-tyrosine were isolated from the leaves ofAllium tuberosum and characterized by spectral analysis. The isolation of the former compound from the natural sources is being reported for the first time.
