Azimuthal asymmetry in high energy interactions

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento (1955-1965)

Summary

High energy meson showers, produced by cosmic ray particles and detected in nuclear emulsions, may not only possess a definite angular distribution but also be rotationally asymmetric. A method is proposed by which such an asymmetry might be detected, and a way of obtaining its extent — if it exists — is also developed.
