A deterministic representation of plane-wave interference

Summary

It is shown how the particle aspect of plane-wave interference can be «conceived in the classical sense as a point mass possessing at each instant both a definite position and a definite momentum» (N. Jammer:The Philosophy of Quantum Mechanics (Wiley & Sons Inc., New York, N.Y., 1974)). An incoherent superposition of generalized momentum eigenstates is introduced for this purpose.
