Abstract

This study is to predict the river bed and characteristics changes by flood wave using numerical and physical model when Jara island’s land-use area changes in North Han river.

In this numerical model, the complete contiunity and momentum equations for water flow and sediment discharge equation for the sediment transport are sloved simultaneously by the Preissmann’s implicit method and then compared with physical model. In this study, a better prediction for flood control was made possibly by consideration and comparision of hydraulic characteristics between on the fixed bed and movable bed.
