Prospects for very-high-statistics fixed-target charm

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento A (1971-1996)

Summary

I review the physical goals of an ultrahigh-statistics charm experiment and place them in the broader context of the community’s efforts to study the Standard Model and search for New Physics. Such an experiment presents a variety of technical challenges; some of these are noted. In addition, we will find it useful to review the status of existing, planned, and proposed heavy-flavor experiments.
