Partial-wave analysis of π-p→π0π0n reaction at 38 GeV/c momentum in the mass range up to 1.9 GeV

Il Nuovo Cimento A (1965-1970)

Summary

A high-statistics experimental study of the π0π0n system produced in the π-p charge exchange reaction at 38 GeV/c beam momentum is performed at IHEP with the GAMS-2000 multiphoton spectrometer. The mass-independent partial-wave analysis is done in the mass range of 0.8 GeV to 1.9 GeV, which includesS, D 0, D, D+ andG 0 waves. The f2 (1810) resonance of Casonet al. is not confirmed, a low upper limit on its production cross-section is set. The f2 (1270) production cross-sections are measured in theD 0, D andD + waves, the results support OPEA model, with small absorption.
