Off-shell amplitudes and currents in the dual-resonance model

Summary

We consider the possibility of constructing off-shell amplitudes and currents in the conventional dual model. We determine the necessary form for a current which incorporates the current algebra constraints in addition to the constraints arising from duality and factorization. The current consists of two parts—an off-shell amplitude and a part that exhibits the current algebra properties. We prove that a dual, factorizable off-shell amplitude which has the same spectrum as the conventional on-shell dual-resonance model does not exist.

Si prende in esame la possibilità di costruire ampiezze e correnti fuori strato nel modello duale convenzionale. Si determina la forma necessaria per una corrente che incorpori i vincoli dell’algebra delle correnti in aggiunta a quelli derivanti dalla dualità e dalla fattorizzazione. La corrente è composta di due parti: un’ampiezza fuori strato e una parte che ha le proprietà dell’algebra delle correnti. Si dimostra che non esiste un’ampiezza fuori stato, duale, fattorizzabile che abbia lo stesso spettro del modello di risonanza duale convenzionale sullo strato.

Мы рассматриваем воэможность конструирования амплитуд вне массовой поверхности и токов в обычной дуальной модели. Мы определяем необходимую форму для тока, которая включает ограничения алгебры токов в добавление к ограничениям, воэникаюшим иэ дуальности и факториэации. Рассматриваемый ток состоит иэ двух частей: амплитуда вне массовой поверхности и часть, которая проявляет свойства алгебры токов. Мы докаэываем, что дуальная факториэуемая амплитуда вне массовой поверхности, которая имеет тот же спектр, как в обычной дуальной реэонансной модели на массовой поверхности, не сушествует.
