Summary
It is shown that the ideas of «Superradiance», recently applied to several problems of collective behaviour in condensed matter, can be easily generalized to the physics of nuclei. A simple derivation of the self-consistent single-particle nuclear potential is carried out that exhibits the right depth (∼60 MeV) and the right structure, both in sign and size, of the spin-orbit potential.
