Summary
A simple model using the usual Schrödinger, nonrelativistic current operator is used to calculate the process π+p→π+pγ in the region of the 1236 resonance. This model provides a mechanism which suppresses the influence of the pion-nucleon resonance on the spectrum of the emitted photon.
