Summary
In this paper deformed nuclei are studied by using an iterative technique which has been successfully used in the spherical-nuclei region: once we know the data of a nucleus withA particles, we calculate those of a nucleus withA+1 particles. We critically discuss the nuclear forces and we justify the validity of the classicalP 2 interaction. The results of our approach are compared with those of the Elliott model. The19F nucleus experimental levels are studied obtaining reasonable agreement.
