dE/dx for very slow monopoles

  • Published:
Lettere al Nuovo Cimento (1971-1985)

Summary

The stopping power for a very slow (β∼10-3) monopole is studied. It is shown that the magnetic contribution is completely negligible, and the whole contribution is the electric one. dE/dx is then given by ∼ (100β)3 GeV/cm.
