Summary
The rescattering of a baryon (slow in the laboratory system) in a heavy nucleus is described as a chain of individual interactions, starting from the «primary» interaction generating the baryon, and governed by the experimental cross-sections. The approximations and the reliability of the approach are thoroughly discussed. A brief survey of the implications on the matter from a recent experiment of deep inelastic scattering on nuclei is presented.
