Summary

We study the mass effects of the top-quark t on the angular distributions of the b-quark jet arising from the decays of the W-boson produced with high transverse momentum in\(\bar pp \to \) high-QTjet+anything. We point out that the angular coefficients α1 in the helicity frame and β1 in the Gottfried-Jackson as well as Collins-Soper frames can provide useful information in determining the t-quark mass.

Si studiano gli effetti di massa del quark top t sulle distribuzioni angolari del getto di quark b che derivano dai decadimenti del bosone W con grande impulso trasversale in\(\pi p \to \) high-QTjet+anything. Si sottolinea che i coefficienti angolari α1 nel sistema dell’elicità e β1 sia nel sistema di Gottfried-Jackson che in quello di Collins-Soper possono fornire informazioni utili alla determinazione della massa del quark t.

Мы исследуем влияние массы «верхнего» кварка t на угловые распределения струи b-кварков, возникающих из распадов W-бозона, образованного с большим поперечным импульсом в реакции\(\bar pp \to \) high-QTjet+anything.
