Zur Bevölkerungssterblichkeit 1964/66 und 1965/67

Summary

The article relates to the development of mortality in the German Federal Republic in the years 1964/66 and 1965/67. It closes the gap left by the results published by the Federal Statistical Office in quinary age groups by calculating mortality rates for individual ages by a process of interpolation. The resulting rates are compared with the rates in the mortality table of the German Federal Republic for 1960/62 and with the official mortality basis of the German Supervisory Authorities of 1967. For males between the ages of 65 and 75 certain increases in the rates of mortality are noticed.
