Abstract

Spin light, or μ-radiation, is electromagnetic radiation associated with the spin of the internal magnetic moment of an electron. Interference between spin light and charge radiation generates so-called mixed eμ-radiation. In the present paper, we use the example of synchrotron radiation to establish that eμ-radiation is a combination of two fundamentally different types of radiation: eμL- and eμTh-radiation. We show that the results of the classical and quantum theories of eμL-radiation are the same. We suggest that a more up-to-date classical theory of radiation from the internal magnetic moment of an electron will include the description of eμTh-radiation.
