Abstract

We established the possibility of formation of a nickel-boride structure and determined conditions for its formation as a result of mechanical-pulse treatment of electrochemical nickel-boride coatings. We investigate their structural and phase composition by metallographic and X-ray diffraction methods. Comparative tribotechnical tests indicate prospects of the developed method for hardening of friction surfaces.
