Some additional comments on search for a hypothetical light singlet scalar boson

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento A (1965-1970)

Summary

A theoretical analysis of the production of a light hypothetical scalar boson χ in the decay of the pseudoscalar meson P with mass smaller than 1 GeV is presented. In general, the result depends on two parameters which reflect different couplings of χ boson to up and down quarks. Theoretical upper bounds of the Yukawa-type coupling parameters and the branching ratio of the η-meson decay into π0 and χ are given too.
