Tests of second-class currents in Δ(1236) production by neutrinos

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento A (1965-1970)

Summary

Tests are presented for the presence of second-class currents in the production of the Δ(1236)-resonance by neutrinos and antineutrinos. Particularly convenient expressions are given for the six structure functions describing this process. It is shown that a knowledge of the structure functionW 2 for both neutrino and antineutrino processes is sufficient to demonstrate the presence or absence of second-class currents. Prescriptions for measuringW 2 are presented.
