Transverse-momentum distribution of particles according to the hydrodynamical model

Summary

A fit to the transverse-momentum distribution is performed in the context of the hydrodynamical model. By fixing a (total-energy-independent) dissociation temperatureT and a transverse-fluidrapidity distribution, whose width increases logarithmically withs, the existing data can be reproduced in all thep interval (where ω(dσ/dP) varies by a factor of 10−10) including their energy dependence. The final inclusive cross-section appears to be approximately factorized in the longitudinal and the transverse rapidities, as verified experimentally.
