Abstract
Passivation currents of a 1X18H9T type steel in 1 M H2SO4 containing 0.25 M NaCl and a mixture ofo-hydroxyazomethine derivatives were measured. The passivation currents were found to depend on the nature of these derivatives, their number, and their concentration. The dependence is interpreted in terms of Linear Gibbs’ energy relation.
