Approximate strength of a direct proton-positron coupling

  • Published:
Lettere al Nuovo Cimento (1971-1985)

Summary

The baryon-number-violating proton decay, p → γ+e+, is calculated by considering the sum of two Feynman diagrams. One transition factor in each diagram consists of a direct pe+ coupling, the strength of which we estimate to beg pe+∼10-30.
