A note on the cini-touschek transformation

Summary

A discussion of the Cini-Touschek (C.T.) transformation is given for spin one-half which exhibits the extreme relativistic nature of the transformation. A unitary generalization of this transformation valid for arbitrary spin is given. This is discussed in detail for spin one and is shown to be related to the extreme relativistic limit of the Jordan-Mukunda spin-one theory. Advantages and disadvantages of this generalization are discussed.

Si espone per lo spin un mezzo una discussione della trasformazione di Cini-Touschek (CT.) che ne mette in evidenza la natura estremamente relativistica. Si da della trasformazione una generalizzazione unitaria, valida per spin arbitrario. Tale generalizzazione si discute in dettaglio per lo spin uno e si dimostra che essa è connessa con l’estremo limite relativistico della teoria dello spin uno di Jordan-Mukunda. Si discutono i vantaggi e gli svantaggi di tale generalizzazione.
