Linear oscillations in relativistic plasmas

Summary

The theory of the linear oscillations in a relativistic Maxwellian plasma is developed in detail. Collisions and external fields are not considered. The frequency and the damping constant of the longitudinal modes were calculated exactly. Also the oscillations of a system of a high-energy cold electron beam and relativistic Maxwellian plasma were studied in detail.

Riassunto

Si sviluppa in dettaglio la teoria delle oscillazioni lineari in un plasma Maxwelliano relativistico. Non si considerano collisioni nè campi esterni. Sono state oalcolate esattamente la frequenza e la costante di smorzamento dei modi longitudinali. Sono state studiate in dettaglio anche le oscillazioni di un sistema composto da un plasma Maxwelliano relativistico e da un fascio freddo di elettroni di alta energia.
