Breaking ofSU 3 symmetry in the electromagnetic decay of the decuplet

Summary

The interaction responsible for the electromagnetic decays of the decuplet of 3/2+ baryon resonances is assumed to contain a symmetrybreaking part transforming as the I=0, Y= 0 member of an octet, and relations between the amplitudes for these decays are presented. The effect of an interaction transforming as a member of the27 representation is also discussed.

Si suppone che l’interazione responsabile dei decadimenti elettromagnetici del deoupletto di risonanze barioniehe 3/2+ contenga una parte che interrompa la simmetria e che si trasformi come il membro I=0, Y=0 di un ottetto, e si presentano le relazioni fra le ampiezze di questi decadimenti. Si discute anche l’effetto di un interazione che si trasformi come un membro della rappresentazione 27.
