Form factors of finite-rank potentials in phenomenological calculations

Summary

Multichannel finite-rank interactions with form factors of a particular class are studied. Closed expressions for the Fredholm matrix can be derived for this class of form factors, and some examples of such closed formulae are given for both open and closed channels. A numerical study is carried out for a set of rank-two interactions of this type, which possess a bound state and in some cases also a resonance. The conditions for the presence of a resonance are found to be complicated and are only satisfied in a very limited region of the parameter space.
