Remarks on the generators of theSU3 group

Summary

It is suggested that the sign of theλ ₅ matrix among the generators of theSU3 group be changed. The rotation senses around the three axes of the group basic space would thereby be made coherent. Furthermore, various relations, in particular commutation rules, would become symmetrical. Relations between two representations of Weyl’s subgroup ofSU3 are given.
