Phenomenological approach to high-energy lepton-nucleon scattering

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento (1955-1965)

Summary

A comparison is made between two approximations to lepton-nucleon scattering: the conventional one in terms of one-photon exchange using form factors and the extension to this process of the Reggepole method first suggested for the study of strong-interaction elastic scattering at high energy. The 6 independent scattering amplitudes are calculated using both methods.
