Large-transverse-momentum distribution in 50 GeV/c π− interactions with emulsion nuclei

Summary

The large-transverse-momentum distribution of secondary charged pions is investigated in interactions of 50 GeV/c π− with nuclear emulsion placed in a strong magnetic field. The results have been compared with the predictions of the quark-parton model.

Si studia la distribuzione a grande impulso trasversale dei pioni carichi secondari in interazioni di π− a 50 GeV/c con emulsione nucleare situata in un forte campo magnetico. Si confrontano i risultati con le previsioni del modello partonico dei quark.
