Wave equations for spin-1/2 fields

Summary

We derive two new spin-1/2 wave equations. Both of these new equations are irreducible under the Poincaré group and contain two arbitrary real parameters in theirβ-matrices. For specific choices of these parameters, the equations degenerate to the Dirac equation. Since these equations exhibit more structure than the Dirac equation, they may be useful for a description of hadrons.
