Experimental study of 6-prong events in \(\bar pp\) annihilation around 1 GeV/c

Summary

The reactions\(\bar pp\) → 3π+ and\(\bar pp\) → 3π+π0 have been studied at 1.00, 1.04 and 1.13 GeV/c incident momentum. Total cross-sections and angular distributions are presented. The contributions of the various intermediate states to the final states have been determined by the maximum-likelihood method. The most important intermediate states result to be εερ in the 6π annihilation and ερω in the 7π annihilation.

Si sono studiate le reazioni\(\bar pp\) → 3π+ e\(\bar pp\) → 3π+π0 ad impulsi del fascio incidente di 1.00, 1.04 e 1.13 GeV/c. Si presentano le sezioni d’urto totali e le distribuzioni angolari dei pioni. Col metodo della massima verosimiglianza si sono determinati i contributi agli stati finali dei vari stati intermedi. Gli stati intermedi che risultano più importanti sono εερ nell’annichilazione in 6 pioni e ερω nell’annichilazione in 7 pioni.

Исследуются реакции\(\bar pp\) → 3π+ р\(\bar pp\) → 3π0π0 при импульсах падаюших частиц 1.00, 1.04 и 1.13 ГзВ/с. Приводятся полные поперечные сечения и угловые распределения. Испольэуя метод максимального правдоподобия, определяются вклады раэличных промежуточных состояний в конечные состояния. Получается, что наиболее важными промежуточными состояниями являются сер при аннигиляции в 6π и ерщ при аннигиляции в 7π.
