Summary

The introduction of « magnetic » charges in a Higgs Lagrangian is studied in the limit for which the gauge field becomes very massive. It is found that in such a case the scalar Higgs field may be confined to the string. Further the equivalent of the Dirac condition is found for the case of a point charge and a massive gauge field and it is seen that there is no constraint between « electric » and « magnetic » charges. Rather it appears that the world area traced out by the string on looping it around an electric charge is quantized.

Si studia l’introduzione di cariche «magnetiche» in una lagrangiana di Higgs nel limite in cui il campo di gauge diventa molto massivo. Si trova che in questo caso il campo scalare può venire confinato sulla corda. Inoltre si trova l’equivalente della condizione di Dirac per il caso di una carica puntiforme e di un campo di gauge massivo e si vede che non vi è alcuna relazione tra le cariche «elettriche» e «magnetiche». Emerge piuttosto che l’area di mondo tracciata dalla corda nel girare intorno ad una carica «elettrica» viene quantizzata.

Исследуется введение «магнитных» эарядов в Лагранжиан Хигса в пределе, для которого калибровочное поле становится очень массивным. Получается, что в зтом случае скалярное поле Хигса может быть ограничено струной. Затем для слулая точечного эаряда и массивного калибровочного поля определяется зквивалент условия Дирака. Можно видеть, что не сушествует свяэи между « злектрическим » и « магнитным » эарядами. По-видимому, мировое пространство, прочерченное струной вокруг злектрического эаряда, квантуется.
