A gentilionic approach to quark colours

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento B (1971-1996)

Summary

An extended form of Noether's theorem enables us to identify the colour quantum number with the eigenvalue of the invariant of the algebra ofS (3). In the gentilionic approach, the composition of theS (3) colour with the symmetric quark model seems to constitute an exact symmetry of Nature. Some general properties and the universality of Gentile statistics are also argued.
