High-energy estimation from angular distributions and related problems

Summary

We use the angular distribution of the secondary particles to estimate the primary-particle energy to construct both differential and integral energy spectra. These spectra are compared to the spectra obtained from experimental measurement of high-energy nucleon-nucleon interactions resulting in a liquid-hydrogen target and detected by sparkchambers—ionization-calorimeter set-up.

Ci si serve della distribuzione angolare delle particelle secondarie per stimare l’energia delle particelle primarie al fine di costruire sia lo spettro energetico differenziale che quello integrale. Si paragonano questi spettri a quelli ottenuti misurando sperimentalmente le interazioni di alta energia nucleone-nucleone ottenute con un bersaglio di elio liquido e rivelate con un’apparecchiatura calorimetrica e camere a scintille.

Мы испольэуем угловое распределение вторичных частиц для оценки знергии первичных частиц, чтобы восстановить дифференциальный и интегральный знергетический спектры. Эти спектры сравниваются со спектрами, полученными иэ зкспериментального иэмерения нуклон-нуклонных вэаимодействий при высоких знергиях, которые имели место в мищени иэ жидкого водорода и детектировались системой « искровые камеры-иониэационный калориметр ».
