Dynamical symmetry breaking induced by nonconformal coupling inR 1×S 3

Summary

We study dynamical symmetry breaking and restoration for a masslessλ φ 4 theory nonconformally coupled to a static, closed, Einstein metric. The critical curvature is determined both in the minimal coupling case and for a generic coupling of the type ξR φ 2.
