Summary
A recently proposed method to compute the eigenvalues of differential operators, based on an appropriate finite-dimensional matrix representation of the differential operator, is tested on several eigenvalue problems, in one and more dimensions. The results confirm the wide applicability of this technique.

Un metodo proposto recentemente per calcolare gli autovalori di un operatore differenziale, che si basa su un’opportuna rappresentazione matriciale dell’operatore di derivazione, è messo alla prova su vari problemi ad una e piú dimensioni. I risultati confermano l’ampia applicabilità di questa tecnica.
