Summary

Trasmission measurements on PbI2 have been performed under hydrostatic pressure up to 8 kbar at room and liquid-nitrogen temperatures. The data show a decrease of the gap up to about 4 kbar for both temperatures. Above this pressure the compound undergoes a phase transition whose nature and some properties, like the absorption coefficient, are presented and discussed.

Riassunto

Si sono effettuate misure di trasmittanza nel PbI2 sotto pressione idrostatica fino a 8 kbar sia a temperatura ambiente che alla temperatura dell’azoto liquido. I dati mostrano un decremento del gap sino a circa 4 kbar per entrambe le temperature. Al di sopra di questa pressione il composto subisce una transizione di fase di cui si presentano e si discutono la natura ed alcune proprietà, come il coefficiente di assorbimento.

Проведены измерения переходов в иодистом свинце при гидростатическом давлении до 8 кбар при комнатной температуре и температуре жидкого азота. Полученные данные указывают на уменьшение щели при давлении до 4 кбар для обеих температур. Выше этого давления соединение претерпевает фазовый переход. Проводится обсуждение природы и некоторых свойств, таких как козффициент поглощения, этого фазового перехода.
