Proton-alkali atom charge exchange in the eikonal approximation

Summary

High-energy proton-alkali atom charge exchange is treated in the eikonal approximation within the framework of the well-known time-dependent semi-classical impact parameter method. Detailed calculations are specialized to the proton-lithium atom charge exchange for which the total cross-section is obtained in closed form.

Lo scambio carica nelle collisioni ad alta energia fra protoni ed atomi alcalini è trattato in approssimazione iconale nell’ambito del metodo semiclassico del parametro d’impatto dipendente dal tempo. Calcoli dettagliati sono riportati per il caso dello scambio carica protone-litio per il quale la sezione d’urto è stata ottenuta in forma chiusa.

Резюме

В рамках хорошо известного квазиклассического, зависящего от времени, метода прицельного параметра рассматривается явление перезарядки при соударении высокоэнергетического протона с щелочным атомом в эйкональном приближении. В случае перезарядки при соударении протона с атомом лития проводятся подробные вычисления и в замкнутой форме получено полное поперечное сечение.
