Some excitation functions of neutron-induced reactions around 14 MeV

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento B (1965-1970)

Summary

Excitation functions of some (n, p), (n, 2n) and (n,α) reactions usually employed as standard monitors have been measured by activation in the range (13.70 ÷ 14.67) MeV neutron energy with an energy spread of ≈ 50 keV. The results have been compared with the best fits obtained for the same reactions from the known data in the range (12.8 ÷ 15.5) MeV. A good agreement has generally been found. Fluctuations about the mean values have been observed.
