Abstract
A new modification of aluminum oxideγ 1-Al2O3 with the spinel structure was produced under shock-wave impact on gibbsite. The parameter of the face-centered latticea=7.935(1) Å. The x-ray pattern and the indexing results are presented. The methods of synthesis are described.
