Phase relations in the system Pb-Sn-Se

Abstract

Phase equilibria have been determined in the portion of the Pb-Sn-Se system bounded by the compositions Pb-Sn-SnSe-PbSe. The PbSe-SnSe join is quasibinary with only small deviations from stoichiometry. The ternary phase boundaries lie close to the Pb-Sn side of the diagram. Subsolidus relations are shown by a series of isoplethal sections.
