Abstract
Technological advances, while solving a problem in one area, often create a problem in another. The great strides that have been made in electronics have, for instance, given us the computer, but how do we protect it against fire without destroying it in the process? The author discusses the question and describes an extinguishing system that may well be a solution to the problem.
