Summary
Experience with the use of ketamine hydrochloride combined with local infiltration anesthesia in 200 anorectal surgical patients is reported, and a method of aborting or preventing unpleasant psychomotor reactions is described. On the basis of this study, ketamine hydrochloride with infiltration of local anesthetic is recommended for use in anorectal surgery.
