Abstract
For Mn(III)−Mn(IV) mixed-valence dimers, a dynamic pseudo-Jahn-Teller vibronic problem is solved. Temperature dependences of the magnetic moment of the clusters are calculated with inclusion of Heisenberg and double exchange as well as vibronic coupling. Conditions for antiferromagnetic, intermediate, and ferromagnetic ground spin-vibronic states and the accompanying low-temperature limits of magnetic moments are determined.
