Abstract
Thick target excitation yield of prompt gamma-rays from sodium bombardment by fast protons are measured and tabulations are given. The application of the prompt gamma-ray technique to elemental determination of sodium in solid sample is developed, sensitivity limits are discussed. Example of concentration determinations and depth profile analysis in glass, mineral, and biological sample are given.
