Abstract
Mass spectra of N-ethyl- and N-propyl-3,5-dicyano-2,4,4,6-tetramethyl-1,4,-dihydropyridine as well as all N-alkyl chains of specifically deuterated analogues have been measured. Plausible mechanistic interpretations of principal fragment ions are being discussed by means of deuteration in all chain positions.
