Abstract
98% recovery of radioactive copper ions from solution has been achieved by retention on cuprous thiocyanate precipitates. The copper uptake was determined under different experimental conditions by varying the contact time, the concentration of other ionic species in the solution, etc. The method was utilized in the activation analysis of copper in metallic nickel and iron meteorites.
