Russian Physics Journal Aims and scope

Abstract

This paper presents a review of the work devoted to the creation and investigation of high-power pulsed uv, ir, and visible lasers pumped with an electron beam, a self-sustained discharge with uv preionization, and a discharge controlled and initiated by an electron beam. Attention is focused on exciplex (XeCl, KrF, KrCl) lasers, lasers operating by atomic transitions of xenon, nonchain HF lasers, and Penning neon plasma lasers.
