Abstract

We determine the requirements for devices for size-fractionation of aerosol particles. We consider separation methods and devices used for such methods and give their comparative characteristics, and we point out their advantages and disadvantages. We determine the methods which are suitable for obtaining test monodisperse aerosols by separating out particles of one size from polydisperse aerosols.
