Linear voltage control of current passed through a micropipette with variable resistance

Abstract

Passing current through high-impedance (108–109Ω) micropipettes, with the current magnitude a linear function of a voltage signal, requires the use of an active circuit. This paper describes a complete system for generating a current which is independent of the micropipette resistance, and for recording voltage from the same micropipette.

Le passage d'un courant à travers des micropipettes à haute-impédance (108–109Ω), la grandeur du courant étant une force linéaire d'un signal de voltage, nécessite l'usage d'un circuit actif. L'article décrit un système complet pour produire un courant qui soit indépendant de la résistance de la micropipette, et pour enregistrer le voltage de cette même micropipette.

Zusammenfassung

Wenn man Strom durch hochohmige (108–109Ω) Mikropipetten einleitet und die Stromamplitude eine lineare Funktion eines Spannungssignals ist, wird die Verwendung einer aktiven Schaltung gebraucht. Dieser Beitrag beschreibt ein komplettes System für die Stromerzeugung, das unabhängig des Widerstands der Mikropipette ist und für die Registrierung der Spannung von derselben Mikropipette.
